ATACMS effect: Russian forces movements in Berdyansk airfield and port
The strategic movements of Russian troops in their logistics network at the rear suggest that they fear the effectiveness of ATACMS missiles, and this has left them feeling vulnerable in Berdyansk
Viktor Dudukalov, deputy chairman of the Berdyansk District Council, shared the information on Espreso TV.
"The airfield has lost its functionality for a long time, and today Russian occupiers are afraid to use it in this direction, to re-deploy their equipment there. For six months, they were defiantly standing and basing themselves there. Still, fortunately, the map of hostilities is changing thanks to the weapons we receive and the ability to use them," Dudukalov said.
According to him, Russian forces are being very careful, but continue the "tradition" of transporting ammunition to Berdyansk.
"They organize transport through the port, unloading it at night, mostly so the local population does not see it. In addition, they deploy air defence systems, certain personnel and part of the ammunition there, using the port in Mariupol as a military facility directly," Dudukalov concluded.
