"A colossal waste of time": UN responds to Russia's statements regarding Ukraine's "biological weapons"
The UN still sees no signs of biological weapons in Ukraine, and Russia's request to investigate the development of such weapons in Ukraine was rejected
This is stated on the UN portal.
“It doesn’t matter how many meetings Russia tries to call on this subject. And it doesn’t matter how hard it ratchets up its propaganda machine. We must not divert UN resources toward a baseless investigation. And we must not allow Russia’s tactics to distract us from its brutal war of aggression,” US Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield said.
Thus she commented on the briefing of the UN Security Council initiated by Russia. According to her, the Russian Federation wanted to use this meeting to spread disinformation.
UN High Representative Izumi Nakamitsu also saw no evidence of biological weapons in Ukraine, which Russia regularly claimed in March and May.

As of October 23, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu had at least four phone conversations with colleagues from other countries (including Great Britain and the United States). He claims that Ukraine is preparing a "dirty bomb" attack on its territory in order to blame it on Russia. Valery Gerasimov, the head of the Russian Armed Forces' General Staff, also began to inform his colleagues about the Ukrainian "nuclear bomb" by phone.

The foreign ministers of the United States, Great Britain and France said that they reject the false statements of the Russian Minister of Defense, Sergei Shoigu, in this regard.

On Tuesday, October 25, the UN Security Council held a closed session at the request of the Russian Federation, during which it discussed accusations against Ukraine of allegedly creating a "dirty bomb". The British representative at the UN stated that the Russian Federation has not provided any evidence regarding the possible use of such weapons by Ukraine.
