Satellite images show that at least 9 bombers disappeared from the Russian airbase Dyagilevo in the Ryazan region after the explosions on December 5.
The pictures were posted on Twitter by Mark Krutov, editor of the Information Service and Information Programs of the Radio Liberty Russian edition.
"Damaged Tu-22M disappeared, leaving only a shadow on the tarmac," he wrote. "At least 9 other Tu-22m bombers moved away from the base, as well as some other planes."
The images also show traces of several other missing Tu-22ms. Mark Krutov suggested they move to another location at the same airbase.
On December 5, Israeli satellite imaging company ImageSat Intl. also posted a photo of the explosions at the Diaghilevo airfield near Ryazan. The images show traces of burning near the Tu-22M bomber.
