Zgurets explains what to expect from Ramstein-15
Serhiy Zgurets, Defense Express military expert and director, noted that a long-term war requires the consolidation of the US and EU defense industry
He stated this on Espreso.
“Meetings in the Ramstein format are crucial to ensure long-term support for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in their combat operations against Russian aggression. These meetings demonstrate the collective efforts of European countries and the United States coming together. Currently, the focus is on conventional aspects, such as providing the necessary ammunition, armored vehicles, and air defense equipment,” as noted by Zgurets.
According to the expert, the shift towards an "attrition" style of warfare signifies an economic battle, necessitating cooperation between the defense industries of the US and the EU.
“There's an emphasis on revising military training methods for the Armed Forces to adapt to the specific challenges posed by Russian defense strategies. Preparations are underway for the long-term nature of this conflict. The shift to an "attrition" format means a war of economies. This type of warfare will put Europe and the United States to the test in terms of producing sufficient ammunition, which forms the foundation for offensive and defensive operations of the Ukrainian army. Additionally, this meeting will mark the first appearance of the new Minister of Defense, Rustem Umerov, at such discussions,” according to Zgurets.
