British hatred of Russians is like British lawn. Watered and mowed for centuries
Meet the new Prime Minister of Great Britain, Sir Keir Starmer. Who will he be for Ukraine?*
The seventh left-wing prime minister in the last hundred years.
Who will he be for Ukraine?
There are 632 seats in the parliament, and the Labor Party will get 410.
“This is a historic victory, which is already being compared to Tony Blair's success and predicts that Labor will be in power for at least ten years.”
But before we look at what to expect from Starmer, we need to say what we could have expected if he had not replaced the previous Labor leader Corbyn.
So, Jeremy Corbyn is a repressed leftist, a crypto-communist.
He opposed investments in defense, modernization of the nuclear arsenal, and strengthening of NATO.
In August 2022, he called on the West to stop military aid to Ukraine and talk about peace.
“Instead, Starmer wants 2.5% of GDP for defense (like the Conservatives) and even talks about the use of nuclear weapons (if necessary). Even before the invasion of Ukraine, he demanded crippling sanctions against Russia and supported the Hague's warrant against Putin. In the winter of 2023, Starmer visited Kyiv and met with Zelenskyy.”
Already in 2024, ministers of his shadow government visited Ukraine: Lemmy (Foreign Affairs) and Gili (Defense).
After coming to power in the Labor Party, Keir Starmer crushed the leftist opposition.
Jeremy Corbyn and his supporters are now marginalized, and the party has taken a centrist course.
So nothing will change for Ukraine after the Conservatives lose.
British hatred and contempt for Russians is like that British lawn.
It has been watered and mowed for centuries.
Therefore, it is aesthetically pleasing in all political seasons.
