Explosion occurs on Russian ship in Mediterranean, two crew members missing
On December 23, the Russian Ursa Major vessel crashed in international waters between Spain and Algeria, with two crew members reported missing

The explosion occurred in the ship's engine room. Fourteen crew members were rescued and taken to the port of Cartagena, and two remain missing.
The Russian-flagged vessel left St. Petersburg 12 days ago and was heading for the port of Vladivostok, where it was supposed to arrive on January 22.
For reference. Ursa Major is a 15-year-old cargo ship built in 2009.
- On December 15, two Russian tankers, Volgoneft-212 and Volgoneft-239, carrying fuel oil, broke in half in the Kerch Strait.
