This was reported by Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council.

"Kryvyi Rih. Missile attack. We understand the location. Already working," he wrote.

Later, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, reported a missile strike on a residential building. Information about casualties and destruction is being clarified.

According to Vilkul, the Russian forces struck a four-story residential building with 32 apartments using a ballistic missile.

"We are all already at the site, emergency services are working. Unfortunately, we are preparing for grim news," he wrote.

Lysak initially stated that five people were injured, two of whom were rescued from under the rubble. The injured are receiving medical assistance.

Later, Lysak updated the number of injured to six. Women aged 69 and 72 and a 78-year-old man are in moderate condition in the hospital, while others received medical aid on-site.

The Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, shared photos of the aftermath of the Russian attack.

"While other countries around the world celebrate Christmas, Ukrainians continue to suffer from relentless Russian attacks. Terrorists have no moral understanding. They understand nothing but force," he commented.

As of 5:53 p.m., six people had been rescued from the rubble, but one man died.

“Doctors did everything possible to resuscitate him. However, unfortunately, they failed to save him. There may still be people under the ruins,” Lysak wrote.

As a result of the Russian strike on Kryvyi Rih, 11 people were injured, including a 16-year-old girl. Three of the wounded are in serious condition.

  • On December 24, the Russian army also dropped explosives from a drone on people in the Kherson region, injuring two civilians.
