252 clashes occur on Russian-Ukrainian front: tense situation in Vremivka, Kurakhove sectors

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this as of 8:00 on December 24.

According to updated information, yesterday Russia launched 13 air strikes on the Ukrainian positions and populated areas, including dropping 52 guided bombs. In addition, it carried out over 4,000 attacks, including 182 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used over 1,000 'kamikaze' drones.

The Russian army carried out air strikes, in particular in the areas of Kotlyne, Zvirove, Uspenivka, Kostiantynopil, Andriivka in the Donetsk region; Temyrivka and Stepnohirsk in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Over the past day, the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit a Russian manpower concentration, one command center, and a field ammunition depot.

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv sector, four combat clashes took place in the area of Vovchansk yesterday.

In the Kupyansk sector, 19 Russian attacks took place over the last day. Ukraine's Defense Forces repelled Russian assaults near Kindrashivka, Petropavlivka, Kolisnykivka, Nova Kruhliakivka, Lozova, Dvorichna, and Bohuslavka.

In the Lyman sector, the Russian army attacked 27 times. It tried to penetrate Ukrainian defenses near Hrekivka, Novoiehorivka, Zelenyi Hai, Tverdokhlibove, Nadiia, Novoserhiivka, Terny, Serhiivka, Makiivka, and Ivanivka.

In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 13 Russian attacks near Bilohorivka yesterday.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces attacked nine times near Stupochky, Predtechyne, and Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk sector, Russia launched 18 attacks in the direction of Diliivka, Dachne, Bila Hora, Shcherbynivka, and Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 30 assaults in the areas of Myroliubivka, Dachanske, Novyi Trud, Novotroitske, Zelene, Novoielyzavetivka, Novoolenivka, Novopustianka, Vozdvyzhenka, Promin, Lysivka, and Uspenivka.

In the Kurakhove sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 32 attacks. Using aviation, Russian troops tried to advance near Kurakhove, Petropavlivka, Sontsivka, Stari Terny, Dachne, Kostiantynopolske, and Andriivka.

In the Vremivka sector, Russia launched 35 attacks on Ukrainian positions in the areas of Novodarivka, Kostiantynopolske, Rozlyv, Rozdolne, Storozheve, Velyka Novosilka, Novyi Komar and Novosilka.

In the Huliaipole sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled two Russian attacks in the area of Bilohiria.

In the Orikhiv sector, the Russian army tried four times without success to drive Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Novodanylivka and Lobkove.

Three times, without success, Russian troops tried to force the Ukrainian units out of their positions in the Prydniprovskyi sector.

The operation in the Kursk region continues. Yesterday, Ukrainian defenders repelled 46 attacks. Russia launched 385 artillery shellings at the Ukrainian positions, including 9 from multiple launch rocket systems.

On the border with Belarus, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.

• On December 14, the DeepState project reported that Ukrainian soldiers holding positions in Makarivka, Donetsk region, risked being surrounded. Later, the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops denied this information.
