Germany must be ready for war with Russia by 2029 - Defense Minister
On June 5, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius stated that Germany should be prepared for a possible war with Russia by 2029

Pistorius emphasized that Germany must be prepared for a potential war with Russia by 2029, in response to Russia's increasing military power and transition to a wartime economy.
"We must provide deterrence to prevent it from coming to the worst. In an emergency, we need strong young women and men who can defend this country," he stated.
- German Chancellor Olaf Scholz believes that granting Ukraine permission to strike at the territory of the Russian Federation with German weapons will not lead to escalation.
