What's wrong with Kadyrov's threats? How Kremlin's main scarecrow turns into failure in Ukraine
When you have no arguments, you release a monkey with a grenade. Similarly, when the Russian Federation clearly understands that nighttime missile attacks only make Ukrainians angry and eager to donate to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, it uses Ramzan Kadyrov's horror stories
Here's the latest - after a light attack by drones of unknown origin on Moscow, Kadyrov called for martial law to be declared in Russia, and for all available military resources to be used. And most importantly, to show Ukraine what revenge in the full sense of the word means.
These threats from Putin's lapdog, who is better known for his branded outfits than for any real courage on the battlefield, look wild. Firstly, it's worth comparing this red Pokémon to a real fighter for the freedom of the Chechen people, Dzhokhar Dudaev. And here you can immediately see what a terrible job Putin's Russia has done in genociding small peoples over the past quarter century. Secondly, after only a lazy Ukrainian hasn't made a parody about the Kadyrov soldiers on TikTok, such horror stories look as stupid as possible.
That is why we should pay tribute to NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov, who skillfully deflected these scaremongering with a punch line that Kadyrov should not threaten Ukraine, but take revenge on Moscow for Grozny and the slavery of the Chechen people.
If we recall the recent past, the official Russian authorities often brought Kadyrov down to intimidate President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and put pressure on Kyiv.
It all started in 2019, when Kadyrov congratulated Zelenskyy in a peculiar way. He wished him good luck in uniting the peoples of Ukraine and Russia.
Then, in July 2020, when the current government was seriously demining, disengaging, and hesitating to hold elections in the temporarily occupied territories, the red effigy of Kadyrov was again used. “What prevents you from fulfilling the hopes of the two peoples? What prevents you from calling Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and announcing that you are ending this civil war in the east? Is it pride or someone else's will?” Kadyrov wrote to Zelenskyy at the time. As you know, then public pressure averted the worst-case scenario of shoving the temporarily occupied territories with traitors into the political body. And Kadyrov fell silent for a while.
However, in the fall of 2021, Western intelligence began to lay out maps of Russia's future offensive. And on December 26, 2021, amid the diplomatic escalation, Kadyrov opened his mouth again. He said the following: “Ukrainians are our people, this is our territory. This is my opinion. After Crimea, we had to take Kyiv. If there is Kyiv, it will be a place for Western countries to fight for territory.” At the same time, words were voiced that now seem very clear. Then the red-headed shaitan said that the Chechen military was ready to go to Ukraine and execute the order without any problems. In fact, it is now absolutely clear why the Kadyrov soldiers were the striking force heading for Kyiv at the speed of light in February 2022. They planned to kill the violent ones, intimidate everyone else, and make a victorious picture for Putin.
The next wake-up call came in January 2022. Then Kadyrov voiced anti-Western narratives, saying that Ukraine was suffering under US oppression. That only Russia should decide the fate of Ukraine. And that he would have “sent troops into the territory of Ukraine a long time ago” and “resolved the Ukrainian issue.”
On February 14, 2022, Putin's lapdog voiced personal threats to Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He said that either Ukraine fulfills the Minsk agreements in full or there will be irreversible consequences and bloodshed.
Everyone remembers what happened next. The Kadyrov soldiers, the Russian Guard, and paratroopers from Pskov created a real hell in the Kyiv region. But it was in Bucha where a large column of the Kadyrov troops was defeated on February 27, and after that Kadyrov's personal comrades fled Ukraine in such a way that the whole grove was in a tizzy. It became a real safari for our defenders to catch a Kadyv soldier with shoulder straps. They were getting hit in the face in the north, in Mariupol and wherever they set foot.
At the end of May 2022, Kadyrov decided to mock those who had broken the media image of very courageous and tough Kadyrov soldiers - the Azov troops. It was then that a video appeared showing him driving a bus with our prisoners to Grozny. At the same time, he stole Adik, a white pit bull, a dog of a Ukrainian soldier who was stationed at Azovstal. At the same time, Kadyrov appealed to Turkey not to help in the exchange of Azov soldiers, because they were allegedly Nazis who abused civilians.
Since the time when Kadyrov and his group of sheep with grenades were ridiculed by everyone, he has become less visible in public space. And now, when the Russian missile attacks do not have the desired effect, this muppet show is used. It has not worked for Zelenskyy or Ukrainians for a long time.
Why is Russian propaganda trying to scare us with Kadyrov? This is a case where the mantra that Ukrainians and Russians are the same people is backfiring. Putin's regime failed on the Ukrainian issue because it mirrored and attributed to Ukraine and Ukrainians the characteristics of Russian society.
The people who sit in the Kremlin, the people who make television and YouTube in Russia, do not understand the difference between Ukraine and Russia. For a long time, Russia has cultivated the image of Kadyrov as something to be worshiped. That's why the fictional Sobchak and Kandelaki considered it an honor to spend the weekend with Kadyrov. Top propagandist Skabeyeva thanked Boryslav Bereza, a Ukrainian MP at the time, for protecting Ramzan from threats. And the Kremlin fully expected that our public figures would immediately be afraid of Kadyrov and go to him to bow. After all, on the eve of the great war, he was being pumped up as the second person after Putin in the occupation of Ukraine.
However, in the case of Ukraine, this preparation failed. Because in Ukraine, Kadyrov is not associated with a man of war; he is a poseur, a liar, a sellout. That's why a very famous video, where our fighter greases the cartridges with delicious lard, became an effective weapon against Kadyrov and his armed executioners who killed unarmed people in Bucha.
Ukrainians have no fear of the terrible Kadyrov. For us, he is a man with a Russian passport who has become a racial Russian and betrayed his roots. And we deal with traitors and collaborators in one way: by destroying them and putting them in a life ban.
The Russian elite does not know who Ukrainians are if the main media focus in the first year of the great war was on the participation of Kadyrov's men in the current war. Our strength is in truth and freedom, a sense of dignity, and an attempt to ridicule puffed-up heroes. This is what distinguishes us very well from Russians and Belarusians, where recording apologies to Kadyrov has become the norm for ordinary citizens.
