We need to find out why volunteers are banned from importing quadcopters - Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Lapin
Ihor Lapin, a special forces officer of the AFU, noted that neither in Europe, nor in the US is a quadcopter considered a dual-use product, but officials have issued additional requirements for the import
He told that on the Espreso TV channel.
The Armed Forces officer voiced the problem that volunteers had with the import of quadcopters for the military to the front line.
"We need to go to the customs and ask the officials why they forbade our volunteers to import quadcopters. Is it to make the troops on the front line more blind? There are additional requirements for more paperwork, you have to go through circles of hell to bring a copter. Nowhere in Europe, nowhere in America is a quadcopter considered a dual-use product. And today, our officials responsible for the movement of goods across the border have issued circulars, because of which a volunteer can not bring a quadcopter. This is nonsense, because people raise money, TV channels announce fundraising, everyone understands that these are "the eyes of our artillery". Have we reached a time when during the war some official will regulate everything by some circular, and this official is not afraid to receive a criminal investigation from the Security Service of Ukraine? I appeal to the Security Service: Why can't we import as many quadcopters as we need?" Lapin emphasized.
In November, friends and volunteers of the Slots City Foundation allocated 1 537 050 UAH for the needs of the army and humanitarian aid. Besides helping to purchase cars, drones, thermal imagers, rangefinders and other equipment, volunteers purchased equipment for a clinical hospital in Kyiv.
