Frozen Russian assets are matter of U.S. interest — Ukraine's Deputy Prime Stefanishyna

Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration and Minister of Justice Olha Stefanishyna stated this, according to Espreso correspondent Kateryna Halko.

"The Ministry of Justice is also responsible for implementing sanctions and asset confiscation. We confiscate assets of sanctioned individuals within Ukraine. We also have sufficient information about the assets of former oligarchs and sanctioned individuals abroad. A new administration is forming. I believe it is too early to make any alarming statements," Stefanishyna noted.

She also expressed confidence that "after the formation of the new administration, there will be an opportunity to discuss important issues."

"As far as I understand, the issue of frozen assets is also of interest to the United States. Therefore, I expect that as soon as the relevant officials are appointed, we will begin a dialogue," Stefanishyna concluded.
