Russian army is morally exhausted by waiting for Ukrainian counteroffensive

Operational Command South's press center head Natalia Humeniuk said that there are signs that the Russian forces are morally exhausted by the long wait for the Ukrainian counteroffensive and are panicking.   She said this during the telethon. 

“The Russians do not know in which direction our counteroffensive will take place and keep 450 km of the frontline in our area of responsibility in constant tension. In addition, the occupiers are seriously worried that our actions and propaganda are reaching the deep rear in Crimea. We are constantly observing their maneuvers - the Russians are nervous and do not stay in one particular place, and are constantly strengthening their defenses, in some cases resorting to desertion. This all speaks to their moral and psychological fragility,” she emphasized.

Air defense destroyed 254 air targets over Kyiv in May

The Kyiv City Military Administration reported this. 

“Never in the history of our planet... No city, no country has ever been subjected to such powerful air attacks by numerous hypersonic aeroballistic, ballistic, cruise missiles and modern military attack UAVs. As much as Kyiv did in May. Kyiv held out,” the statement says.

AFU launch offensive in some areas

The Ukrainian military is launching counteroffensive actions in some areas of the frontline. Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar reported this. 

“We are continuing the defense that we started on February 24, 2022. The defense operation includes everything, in particular counteroffensive actions. Therefore, in some areas we are attacking. The Bakhmut direction remains the hotspot of hostilities. We are moving on a fairly broad front there. We are making progress. We occupy the dominant heights. The enemy is on the defensive, trying to hold their positions. Local battles continue,” she commented.

Black Box has caused over USD 700 million in damage to Russia

The Main Intelligence Directorate reported this. 

The Black Box is a joint covert project of the Main Intelligence Directorate, the Come Back Alive foundation that provides support to service members in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and blogger Ihor Lachenkov.

Over the past month alone, it has caused more than USD 700 million in damage to the occupying Russian forces. The results of the Black Box's work can be seen at many enemy facilities located both in the temporarily occupied territories and in Russia itself. 

During April-May 2023, the results of the project could be observed in logistics centers, transportation hubs, places where military equipment and manpower were concentrated, and other targets.

Ukrainian aviation launched 18 strikes against the Russian forces

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this. 

Over the past day, the Defense Forces' aviation launched 18 strikes on the invading Russian troops' military positions and 2 on enemy anti-aircraft missile systems.

Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 1 enemy reconnaissance UAV.

Over the day, missile and artillery units struck 2 command posts, 10 manpower concentration areas, a munitions depot, an anti-aircraft missile system, as well as 3 enemy artillery units at firing positions.
