Ukrainian army learns to shoot down drones, but if Iran dares to transfer missiles to Russia, it is challenging for Ukraine - Oleksiy Danilov
NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov confirmed negotiations between Russia and Iran. If the latter dares to transfer missiles, it will be a challenge for Ukraine
NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov said this in an interview with the Voice of America.
He noted that the Ukrainian authorities clearly understand what is happening between Russia and Iran. Danilov is convinced that the drones used to attack Ukraine are of Iranian origin.
"Moreover, we know for sure that Russia is negotiating with Iran on the supply of other weapons to its territory. On the one hand, we should be glad that Russia does not have the internal capacity to win this war without the involvement of other countries. However, it will be an additional challenge for us if Iran dares to supply Russia not only with drones but also with missiles," the NSDC Secretary stressed.
Oleksiy Danilov also added that Ukrainian defenders have learned to shoot down drones, but there are still hits, and this is also a challenge for Ukraine.

On December 19, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with drones from a new batch that Russia received from Iran. Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that "250 pieces - this is how many Shahed kamikaze drones the terrorist state has now received."

A day later, it was reported that the UN leadership received letters from Ukraine, France, Germany, Great Britain and the United States regarding the need to verify information about the transfer of UAVs from Iran to Russia, which contradicts the UN Security Council resolution.

Also, British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said that Russia plans to provide Iran with "advanced military components" in exchange for the drones.
