Ukrainian Armed Forces advance at Bakhmut and Zaporizhzhia directions, Russia uses reserves and moves troops - General Staff

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is noted that in the areas of Novodanylivka - Shyroka Balka; Mala Tokmachka - Novopokrovka, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had some success. The Ukrainian military are consolidating their positions and inflicting artillery fire on the identified enemy targets. The Defense Forces are also conducting counter-battery operations.

Instead, the Russians are putting up a strong resistance. They are moving their units and troops and actively using reserves.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Armed Forces continue to conduct offensive operations north and south of the city of Bakhmut. Here, on the southern flank of the offensive, our military have partial success and are consolidating the gains made.

• On July 13, the General Staff reported that Russia continues to wage a war of aggression and, despite significant losses, does not abandon its plans for the complete occupation of Ukraine. On July 12, heavy fighting continued in 5 directions. The Russians conducted 60 air strikes and carried out 64 attacks with multiple rocket launchers on the positions of the Defense Forces and localities. In return, the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit a control center and 16 artillery pieces at enemy firing positions.
