Ukraine’s intelligence and weapons create "death grid", Western weapons deprive Russia of counter-battery combat – AFU General Staff
The Ukrainian Armed Forces say that the Ukrainian army managed to create a "death grid" for Russian forces, and because of Western weapons, Russia cannot conduct counter-battery operations
This was stated by Colonel Serhiy Baranov, acting head of the Main Directorate of Combat Strike Systems of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, during a briefing.
He said that today 90% of Russia’s firepower relies on missile forces and artillery. Ukrainian troops have to "constantly adapt, invent new ways and methods of fire damage, improve weapons, ammunition, skills and abilities."
According to him, it has now been possible to create a so-called “death grid” for Russian firepower.
"As of today, our artillery has managed to create a "death grid." This is when intelligence works very closely and effectively with firepower. Of course, these firepower includes not only missile troops and artillery, but also the Air Force aviation," Baranov explained.
He also said that when the Ukrainian army began receiving NATO artillery, it was able to hit targets at a greater distance, which is why Russia cannot conduct counter-battery warfare, as it was forced to move its artillery deeper into the territory.
