Germany will provide Ukraine with three more IRIS-T air defense systems as soon as possible. Each of these systems is capable of protecting a large city
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said this at the German-Ukrainian business forum in Berlin, Ukrinform reports.
"Russia's attacks on civilian infrastructure demonstrate that we must do everything to rebuild and protect Ukrainian cities, villages, bridges, streets and railways. I am very glad that German anti-aircraft missile systems and anti-aircraft self-propelled guns, and recently IRIS- T is in Ukraine. This system can protect a large city. We will deliver three more such installations to Ukraine as soon as possible," said Olaf Scholz.
He emphasized that Germany and other partners will support Ukraine as long as necessary.
"This applies to both wartime and the reconstruction period. Ukraine can rely on Germany, the European Union and other friends. We support your country politically, financially, economically, humanitarianly, and also with weapons. I am sure that weapons will be discussed at the economic conference," the Chancellor of Germany emphasized.
