Ukraine will soon receive Leopard tanks from Germany - military expert Riabykh

He said this on Espreso TV. 

“Ukraine will receive weapons that will significantly strengthen and help solve the task facing Ukraine's Armed Forces during the Russian aggression. All partners have already understood that the necessary conditions have been met, and in the near future we will be able to see Germany's decision regarding the transfer of Leopard tanks. These tanks are easier to master because they are similar in terms of management to the tanks we have.  When transferring from the T-72 to the Leopard tanks, a few weeks will be enough to relearn. The Leopard tank can be mastered quickly.  All the more so to our military, who have shown the ability to master the most modern examples of Western equipment,” Riabykh emphasized.

According to a military expert, there are Leopard tank maintenance bases in Poland.

“In this way, it is easier to organize the work of field brigades to maintain them on the battlefield. If Ukraine receives these tanks in the amount of one regiment, which is about 100 units, this will become a decisive factor that will allow Ukraine's Armed Forces to confidently proceed to offensive actions on the entire frontline and ensure superiority over the enemy,” Riabykh noted.
