“We will not allow to turn land where blue-yellow flag should rightfully be into gray zone,” Zelenskyy addresses Ukrainians on Independence Day
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the nation on Ukraine's Independence Day, emphasizing that the “sick old man from Red Square” would not dictate “his red lines” to the state
This is stated in a presidential address published on Telegram.
“The faded eyes of their boss perceive the whole world as a gray area. But we will not let them turn the land where the blue and yellow flag should rightfully be into a gray zone. A sick old man from Red Square, who constantly threatens everyone with the red button, will not dictate to us any of his red lines. Only Ukraine and Ukrainians will determine how to live, what path to take and what choices to make. This is how independence works,” the president said.
He emphasized that now the Russian enemy, who wanted to turn Ukrainian lands into a buffer zone, “should think about how to prevent his country from becoming a buffer federation.”
“913 days ago, Russia went to war against us, in particular, through the Sumy region. It violated not only sovereign borders, but also the limits of cruelty and common sense. It was endlessly striving for one thing: to destroy us. Instead, today we celebrate the 33rd Independence Day of Ukraine. And what the enemy brought to our land has now returned to its home,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
