Ukraine's Defense Ministry signs contracts for purchase of 4,200 drones

This is reported by Ukraine's Defense Ministry.

It is indicated that 4200 DJI Mavic 3E UAVs with additional equipment were contracted. According to the results of the auctions on Prozorro, the average price per drone was:

• DJI Mavic 3E with three additional batteries and charger - UAH 126,300
• DJI Mavic 3T with three additional batteries and charger - UAH 194,200

Thus, taking into account previous contracts, the Defense Ministry has contracted 8200 sets of drones (7200 DJI Mavic 3E and 1000 DJI Mavic 3T). The total amount of stolen contracts is UAH 1.1 billion.

"We managed to save more than UAH 65 million from the expected cost of these procurements alone. And this is despite the fact that we work on a postpaid basis to secure the supply as much as possible. For us, this is an opportunity to purchase even more drones for the military, which are critically important at the front," emphasized Maryna Bezrukova, Director of the Defense Procurement Agency.
