Ukraine starts mass production of drones – Fedorov
On March 24, the government adopted a resolution that will accelerate the mass production of drones in Ukraine, their purchase and delivery to the front
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Mykhailo Fedorov.
The Minister called the adopted resolution "historic" as it will speed up the creation and delivery of Ukrainian drones to the frontline, as well as promote the development of military technologies.
"It is important that the resolution fundamentally changes the government's approach to the miltech business itself. Previously, the profit margin for foreign components was 1%, and 30% for domestic goods and services. This regulation hindered the development of Ukrainian manufacturers, encouraging them to move abroad or manipulate documents. This had to be changed. To stimulate the development of UAVs in Ukraine and attract more companies to produce, scale, and increase the level of localization of components, the state raised the profit share to 25%," explained Mykhailo Fedorov.

As a reminder, the state-owned Ukroboronprom arms manufacturer, together with NATO countries, has launched the production of 122-mm artillery shells, and the first batch has already been shipped to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
