Ukraine gets second French mobile DNA laboratory to identify war victims
Ukraine has received a second mobile DNA laboratory from France. It will work in Dnipropetrovsk and neighboring regions that suffer from Russian shelling
This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine.
Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin and French Ambassador to Ukraine Etienne de Poncins handed over the second French mobile DNA laboratory to the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. The gift certificate and keys were received by Minister of Justice Denys Maliuska.
According to the report, this laboratory will work in Dnipropetrovsk and neighboring regions that suffer from massive artillery and air strikes. These regions have suffered significant destruction and numerous civilian casualties.
"Until now, law enforcement officials have been inspecting the sites of incidents to find the bodies of dead citizens and sometimes mass graves. The mobile laboratory will significantly speed up the process of identifying the dead. Ukrainian experts will be able to carry out all the necessary actions directly at the crime scene, thereby reducing the time of uncertainty and waiting for results for relatives and friends of the victims of aggression," explained Kostin.
