Serhii Zhadan receives Peace Prize from German booksellers
Serhii Zhadan has won the Peace Prize 2022 from the German Association of Publishers and Book Distributors
Olesia Ostrovska, the director of the Mystetskyi Arsenal museum complex, reported this on her Facebook page.
“Zhadan received the Peace Prize of the German Book Publishing House. Before him, Martin Buber, Hermann Hesse, Karl Jaspers, Janusz Korczak, Leszek Kolakowski, Astrid Lindren, Susan Sontag, Orhan Pamuk, and Margaret Atwood received this prize,” she wrote.

Earlier, on October 2, it became known that the German publishing house Suhrkamp Verlag published Serhii Zhadan's new book Himmel über Charkiw: Nachrichten vom Überleben im Krieg (Sky above Kharkiv: News about war experiences).

The rights to the translation of Zhadan's novel Boarding were sold into 26 languages.
