Safety margin of Ukraine’s air defense is much higher than Russia’s - Defense Express expert Kyrychevskyi
Ukrainian air defense will continue to fight in the air defense battle until Russia runs out of physical capability to launch missiles of one type or another
Defense Express expert Ivan Kyrychevskyi shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"On the one hand, the Pentagon's "leaked data" said that we are running out of Soviet-style missiles, which weakens our air defense. Either these data on the lack of Soviet missiles were exaggerated, or there was some Western substitution with Western SAMs that we do not know about. If the situation were catastrophic, this "gold standard", when it manages to shoot down up to 85% of subsonic cruise missiles, our air defense would not be able to unhold due to lack of forces and means," he said.
Kyrychevskyi added that the system manages to deal with its targets as of now.
"We can say that the safety margin of our air defense, despite all known and unknown problems, is much higher than the safety margin of the Russian missile arsenal. Such an air battle will continue until Russians run out of physical capability to launch missiles of one type or another. On the other hand, the Ramstein format is also a lot about how to get Soviet anti-aircraft missiles from various sources. If we are finding missiles from Jordan for the Osa systems, who knows where else there may be such interesting stashes that are not yet publicly available," the expert concluded.
