He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"Russian horror has big eyes. But the Ukrainian side must make it clear to its European partners that Ukraine is a party to the missile technology control, which allows Ukraine to receive weapons systems with a range of up to 500 km. This is within the maximum capabilities of the Taurus. Not 300 kilometers, as ATACMS has technical limitations, but 500 kilometers, as Taurus can reach," Zgurets explained.
According to him, the Russians know something, they are scaling up and getting scared. Ukraine needs to put pressure on its European partners to have the Bundeswehr revise the Taurus as soon as possible and transfer some of it to Ukraine.
"If we talk about the Ukrainian Neptune surface-to-surface missile, it has a range of up to 400 km, but with the use of additional fuel tanks, this missile can actually fly up to 1,000 km," Zgurets added.
