Russians cannot return Mariupol port to full operation
Petro Andryushchenko, adviser to Mariupol's mayor, says that technical problems are preventing Russian forces from restoring the Mariupol port to full operation
He shared the details with Espreso TV.
"The Russian occupiers simply cannot restore the full operation of the Mariupol port. The current they supplied for the operation of the port is not enough to restore the operation. However, we haven't known yet what exactly caused this situation. Perhaps it is somehow related to the situation in Crimea. The only thing that I can confirm is that the entrance to the port is still blocked", Andryushchenko said.
The mayor's adviser emphasized that all Russian plans for the Mariupol port haven't worked yet.
"All these ideas of the Russians on launching a grain terminal and looting rolled metal that remains in the port are still unfeasible. One of the main reasons that they cannot take anything out of the port is the technical inability to take such actions. Other reasons are still unknown to us", he added.
