Russian troops stole all trucks with cargo for Melitopol, - mayor
Occupiers stole buses and trucks with humanitarian aid for Melitopol, which is now under control of invaders
City mayor Ivan Fedorov reports about it.
He noted that Russians didn’t allow our humanitarian convoy to come to Melitopol, and under weapons took all vehicles with humanitarian aid for themselves.
"This means that Melitopol residents and residents of all district won’t receive vital assistance - medicines for seriously sickness, products and hygiene products that are no longer available in the city. People won’t be able to leave Melitopol," Fedorov wrote.
He said, this fact became another case of violation by Russian military of the norms of international agreements, as well as the existing norms of humanity.
"According to the Geneva Conventions, the guarantor of the humanitarian corridors is the International Committee of Red Cross. This organization has received written assurances from both sides of its intention to provide a humanitarian corridor. Russia agreed. On the paper. But indeed they didn’t do it.”- he said.
