Russian troops attack police car with drone in Kharkiv region
Invading Russian forces dropped explosives from a drone on the car of an investigative team that was on its way to detain collaborators in the Kharkiv region
The head of the Investigative Department of the Kharkiv Regional Police, Serhiy Bolvinov, wrote about this.
It is noted that the invaders attacked a police car in Dvorichna in Kupyansk district.
Investigator Mykola Kharchenko says that police officers recognized the sound of the drone immediately. There were three of them in the car — a precinct police officer in the passenger seat and an operative at the wheel.
No one saw the drone, but the distinctive sound left no doubt that they were the target. According to the investigator, at first, they tried to escape but quickly realized that they would not be able to do so.
"It was the operative who made the decision to jump from the car in seconds. He immediately gave the command to jump out and at that moment there was an explosion. We jumped out a second before the drone dropped the grenade. It hit the back of the car, and the driver was the last to jump, actually at the moment of impact," says Mykola Kharchenko.
