Russian imperialism is a disease that needs to be beaten with stick - Feygin
Russian opposition public and political activist, lawyer and blogger Mark Feygin believes that Russians 'need a stick' to knock out imperial thinking
He said this on Espreso TV.
“The Russian passport is already an accusation. What the Putin regime is doing is not separated from the Russian people and Russian thinking. It is not detached by the people and the government itself. It is even cultivated and it is believed that our passport is what it is. By passport we mean everything that is meant by Russian and Russia. This problem needs to be solved now, not later, when we get rid of Putin. This opportunity may not exist after Putin,” Feygin said.
The Russian opposition public and political figure added that it is necessary to create the preconditions for the purification of Russia now, because it may be too late.
“Russians will have to change their Russian passport to a Chinese one. And there will be no need to wait for the Russian passport to be cleared, there will be nothing to clear. The beginning of subjectivity will disappear. Russian society does not have this understanding, I mean a society that is free and opposed to this government. It seems to them that this is a small cosmetic job: remove Putin and everything will be fine. The Russian people need a stick, they need to be beaten out of their imperial thinking with a stick. 99% of Russians believe that they will remain an imperial nation. If a Russian person does not want to get rid of this, he or she needs to be weaned off it,” Feygin emphasized.
