Trump is ready to buy peace
So far, it seems that America rules the world and the Kremlin rules America
The most common manipulation of the Russian-Ukrainian war today is the call not to “restore justice” or “punish the aggressor” but to “stop the war.”
And this is coming out of every iron now, from the Nobel laureates' statement (which was most likely written in Moscow) to Trump's speech yesterday.
"Similarly, Trump's statements about the horrors of World War III are a great example of successful narrative control from the Kremlin, because Putin's strategic goal (I have been writing about this for years) is not to start World War III, but to sell his agreement not to start it as expensively as possible."
Well, Biden hasn't bought it yet (although he still has six months to go, and there is clearly some kind of underhanded movement around the second Peace Summit), and Trump is declaring to the world that he is ready to buy it and is bargaining over the price.
So far, it looks like America rules the world, and the Kremlin rules America. At least Trump does.
Maybe it just seems so. But it looks like this.
