Russian forces attack Kherson region with drones, artillery: explosives are dropped on cars, buses

On Sunday, September 29, Russian forces launched drone strikes and artillery shelling on Kherson and the Kherson region, targeting Beryslav. Nine people were injured as a result of the attacks

"This morning, a resident of Kherson was hit by an enemy drone. A 36-year-old man was injured," the statement reads.

The victim sustained blast-related injuries, a traumatic brain injury, and shrapnel wounds to his arm and leg.

An ambulance team transported him to the hospital for medical care.

Later, the administration reported that a Kherson citizen, injured by a Russian drone strike, also sought medical attention.

At around 10 a.m., Russian forces dropped explosives from a UAV in the city’s Dniprovskyi district. A 61-year-old woman was injured, suffering from blast trauma and shrapnel wounds to her face, torso, and legs. All necessary assistance is being provided to the victims.

By 10:42 a.m., the administration reported that Russian forces shelled Beryslav. Two people were injured: a 70-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman.

The injured reached the hospital independently. Both suffered blast injuries and concussions, and doctors are attending to them.

Later, it was revealed that a 56-year-old man sustained shrapnel wounds to his forearm, leg, and abdomen due to drone explosives in Kherson. He has been hospitalized.

In Shyroka Balka, a 45-year-old resident was also injured in a drone attack. He suffered blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to his shoulder and back. He is currently under medical supervision.

The Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that at around 13:00, the Russian troops dropped explosives from a drone on a civilian in the Dniprovsky district of Kherson. The 61-year-old man sustained a leg injury. 

In Bilozerka, a 66-year-old woman was injured as a result of shelling. She was diagnosed with explosive and craniocerebral injuries, shrapnel wounds to the head, chest, arms and legs. 

Both civilians were taken to hospital for medical treatment.

At approximately 14:00, the Russian army shelled the village of Blahovishchenske with artillery. A 45-year-old local resident sustained an explosive injury and shrapnel wound to his leg. An ambulance crew treated him on the spot. The man refused to be hospitalized.

Roman Mrochko, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, said that Russian forces had dropped explosives on public transport for the second time in a day.

This time, the 5th bus of the local utility company was hit. According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, neither the driver nor the passengers were injured. The rear window of the bus was smashed.
