Russians are actively moving to Mariupol - Advisor to Mariupol Mayor
Advisor to the mayor of Mariupol Petro Andriushchenko said that the occupation authorities are actively trying to settle Russians in the city from the European part of the Russian Federation
He told about this on Espreso TV
"Russians are paid to come and live in the temporarily occupied Mariupol. That is, they receive money. With this money, they can buy furniture and make repairs. The occupiers issue warrants for apartments that they have recognized as ownerless. This is how the scheme works in Mariupol. And the occupiers are actively promoting it," Andriushchenko said.
According to Andriushchenko, Russians themselves are very supportive of the idea of moving to Mariupol
"They do not encourage migrants to move. On the contrary, there is an active campaign in the European part of the Russian Federation to move to Mariupol. Their authorities are trying to promote this idea very actively. And it is surprising that the Russians themselves really like the idea of moving to occupied Mariupol. That is, they come to the ruins and move into our apartments," he added.
