Russian army suffers heavy losses in Kherson direction — Ukrainian official
Natalia Humeniuk, head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces, said that Russia suffers "the heaviest" losses in the Kherson direction
She stated this during the Suspilne.Resistance" marathon.
According to Humeniuk, Russia is trying to flood the information space with its fictitious victories when there is no success at the front.
"Against the backdrop of these conversations, the facts say the exact opposite. The Russian army is suffering the heaviest losses. Over the past combat day, 98 Russian soldiers were killed. One third of this number was directly killed in the Krynky area. And the fact that they managed only one assault over the past day also eloquently testifies to the changes in weather conditions, in which we had to act in a different way," the spokesperson said.
The favorable weather conditions reportedly enabled Russia to escalate its aviation efforts. There were attempts to launch guided bombs on the right bank, with specific attacks targeting Sablukivka. Additionally, there were endeavors to strike the left bank with unguided aircraft missiles.
- Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported to Vladimir Putin that the Russian army had allegedly taken control of Krynky on the left bank of the Kherson region.
- Later, the Southern Ukrainian Defense Forces denied Shoigu's statement.
