Russian troops use mothballed Soviet-era Black Sea Fleet command post in Sevastopol — guerillas
Russian forces have started using the abandoned reserve command post of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol
The Atesh guerrilla movement reported this on Telegram.
The Atesh guerrillas have reportedly conducted reconnaissance on the Black Sea Fleet's reserve command post, known as Object 221 and Alsu-2. Construction of this facility began in 1977 but was never completed, leaving it abandoned.
“We spotted military personnel, equipment, a checkpoint, a camouflaged armored personnel carrier nearby, and armed patrols. It is also noteworthy that the forest around the site has been cut down to make it more difficult to approach the facility unnoticed,” the statement said.
In addition, according to the guerrillas, Russian forces dug trenches as additional fortifications.
"All of this indicates that the occupiers are using this command post and it is becoming a legitimate target for destruction," Atesh added.
- Earlier, the guerrillas reconnoitered the 17th Arsenal of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol, which supplies Russian troops with ammunition.
