Ukraine launches Hochu k Svoim project for civilian hostages in exchange for collaborators
Ukrainian intelligence services have launched a project called Hochu k Svoim (I Want to Join My Kind) to facilitate the return of Ukrainians from Russian captivity. This initiative aims to enable the exchange of captured Ukrainians for traitors and collaborators
This was announced by a representative of Ukraine's Defence Intelligence, Andriy Yusov, LB.ua reports.
The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War presented the joint state project called Hochu k Svoim (I Want to Join My Kind).
"The first goal of the project is to publish information on the website hochuksvoim.com about convicted Russian collaborators, agents, traitors who collaborated or assisted the occupying Russian forces in the war against Ukraine," Yusov said.
The website will also feature a "consent to exchange" option, allowing convicted collaborators to agree to be exchanged for Ukrainians held in Russian captivity.
According to Yusov, another condition is to allow Ukrainian citizens who are still cooperating with Russian forces to stop such activities under certain conditions.
"The third goal is to enable Ukrainian citizens who have any information about the activities of enemy agents to share it through a special form on the website. Another goal of this humanitarian initiative is to help citizens who for some reason want to travel to Russia to apply through the website using a special form," Yusov added
