Ukraine's Armed Forces transition to corps-level command system — Ukraine's top general
Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that the military command has begun implementing measures to transition to a corps-based command structure
He shared the information on Facebook.
"We take into account the challenges of the times and work to strengthen the army even in the difficult conditions that have arisen. The reform of the organizational structure of the Armed Forces is ongoing. We have begun implementing measures to transition to a corps-based structure," said the Commander-in-Chief.
Syrskyi also shared that the strengthening of the Ground Forces, Air Assault Forces, Marine Corps, and Unmanned Systems Forces is underway through the increase of unmanned systems in their composition.
Additionally, the Commander-in-Chief stated that in January, the military managed to increase the number of units transitioning to combat readiness recovery, and there are plans in place for the next period.
Regarding the situation on the front, the Commander-in-Chief noted that the situation is complex, but the Ukrainian Defense Forces are fighting back. Syrskyi added that the main efforts are focused on holding the lines, preventing Russian advance, enhancing the training of personnel, and expanding the unmanned component.
- According to the General Staff, as of February 3, 97 combat clashes occurred on the front during the day. The Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 39 attacks in the hottest sector - Pokrovsk.
