Ukrainian forces target 9 oil facilities in Russia in January
In the first month of 2025, Ukrainian forces struck nine oil facilities on Russian territory

Just last month, Ukraine's Defense Forces targeted the Liskynska oil depot in Russia’s Voronezh region twice — on January 16 and 21.
On January 8, Ukrainian drones struck an oil depot in Engels. On January 18, two Russian oil depots were hit — one in Lyudinovo and the 8 Marta facility in the Tula region.
The Smolensk Aviation Plant came under attack on January 21, while the Kremniy EL plant in Bryansk was struck on January 24. Drones also targeted the Ryazan Oil Refining Company on January 24 and 26.
At the end of the month, Ukraine’s forces hit the Kstovo oil refinery on January 29 and an oil depot in Volgograd on January 31.
"Ukraine’s Defense Forces are in action! Without oil and petrodollars, the enemy struggles to sustain its army," the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated.
- On the night of February 3, residents of Volgograd, Russia, reported explosions near the oil refinery owned by Lukoil. A gas processing plant near Astrakhan was also targeted by drone attacks.
