The occupying Russian forces have released images showing a Ukrainian soldier with a severed head. His identity has already been confirmed
The report comes from Artur Dobroserdov, Commissioner for Persons Missing in Special Circumstances.
"Photos from enemy sources are circulating online, showing the severed head of a Ukrainian soldier," the statement reads.
It is reported that the soldier’s identity has been preliminarily established. The National Police has been informed to contact the soldier’s family and carry out investigative procedures to determine the circumstances, locate the body, and gather other critical details.
The Prosecutor General’s Office has also been notified of yet another blatant violation of international humanitarian law by the aggressor state.
The Commissioner urged the public not to spread unverified information and emphasized the importance of relying on official sources.
- Meanwhile, in the Donetsk region, Russian forces allegedly captured and executed six Ukrainian soldiers. Law enforcement has launched a pre-trial investigation.
