Ukraine's MoD to allocate additional UAH 1.1 billion for drone procurement
Ukraine's Defense Ministry allocates additional UAH 1.1 billion for the purchase of drones. The funds will go directly to the brigades
Ukraine's Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported the information.
“This week, the President instructed the Government to increase direct funding for the brigades for additional purchases of drones. Today this order will be fulfilled. The Ministry of Defense is allocating an additional UAH 1.1 billion for the purchase of drones. These funds will go directly to the brigades so that they can quickly cover the most important needs,” noted Shmyhal.
According to him, this month the Defense Ministry will transfer UAH 4.3 billion to the military brigades directly, and over 11 months such direct funding has amounted to UAH 27.2 billion.
“At the same time, over the first 10 months of this year, the Government has spent UAH 229 billion on the purchase of military equipment, weapons, ammunition, defense products, personal protective equipment, and food for the Security and Defense Forces,” the Prime Minister added.
