Russia's military airfields were attacked: military expert suggests which drones could have been used
Defense Express CEO and military expert Serhiy Zgurets believes that strikes on Russian military airfields were carried out by Ukraine-designed long-range drones
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"Today we are expecting a lot of news related to the attack not only on the Morozovsk airfield in the Rostov region. At night, there were attacks on three Russian airfields - Engels, which is 700 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, Morozovsk, which is 300 kilometers from the border, and the airfield in Yeysk, which is 150 kilometers away," Zgurets explained.
According to the military expert, if the Ukrainian Armed Forces have increased the number of UAVs in their arsenal, they should be sent not only to Russian refineries, but also to airfields used by the Russians to base aircraft.
"Yesterday, according to satellite images, there were about 24 Su-34 bombers and three Su-35 fighters at the Morozovsk airfield, covering the Su-34s that were conducting attacks with UAVs. If there were indeed 40-60 UAVs involved in the strikes on the Morozovsk airfield, then we'll see what the results are. There was also a strike on the airfield in Engels, where the enemy bases Tu-95s, Tu-160s, Tu-22s, which are used to strike Ukraine. I think that this time the strikes were carried out by long-range drones of Ukrainian development," Zgurets suggested.
