This is according to the General Staff.

In the Kharkiv direction, invaders persist in advancing toward the village of Lyptsi. Four out of six attacks were repelled, and fighting continues. Additionally, the occupiers dropped three guided aerial bombs in the Vovchansk district.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian army is quite active, attempting to attack our units 17 times. This includes areas near the settlements of Synkivka, Berestove, Nevske, Makiivka, Stelmakhivka, and Serhiivka. Near the latter, the enemy operated with support from attack aircraft. Fighting is ongoing in three locations, but the situation is under control. The enemy has suffered losses, with an infantry fighting vehicle and three armored personnel carriers destroyed near Berestove.

In the Lyman direction, five Russian attacks were repulsed, and the occupiers were pushed back in the Nevske and Torske districts.

In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled two attacks, and the situation remains under control. Another assault has been successfully dealt with.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy has attempted to improve their tactical position six times since the beginning of the day. Attacks from Bakhmut have targeted Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, and Klishchiivka. Three attacks have been repulsed, resulting in the destruction of a tank and two BMDs belonging to the occupiers. Three combats are ongoing, but four Russian combat vehicles have already been destroyed during an assault in the Ivanivske area. The situation is under control, despite enemy fire of unguided air missiles in the Chasiv Yar area.

Active fighting is ongoing in the Pokrovsk direction, with 12 out of 15 clashes still in progress. The Novooleksandrivka area is particularly intense, with two airstrikes and three air guided bombs systems near Oleksandropil and Kalynove.

Yesterday's 37 attacks took a toll on the occupiers, resulting in significant losses. In the Pokrovsk direction alone, the enemy lost over 320 personnel and 20 pieces of weapons and military equipment, including three guns, four cars, five unmanned aerial vehicles, a tank, and five armored vehicles, with two enemy cars damaged.

In the Kurakhove direction, clashes have increased to nine, with enemy attacks in areas such as Krasnohorivka, Novomykhailivka, Paraskoviivka, and Kostyantynivka. The situation remains under the control of the Defense Forces.

Since the beginning of the day, our soldiers in the direction of Vremivka repelled two assaults in the areas of Urozhaine and Staromayorske, preventing the loss of our positions.

In the Kherson direction, the Russians attempted three attacks on Ukrainian defenders on the left bank of the Dnipro River but was unsuccessful.

In other directions, the situation remains unchanged.

In addition, there were two airstrikes by the enemy in the areas of the villages of Makarivka in the Donetsk region and the Novoandriivka in the Zaporizhzhia region – in the Vremivka and Orikhiv directions.

General Staff reported 117 combat clashes on the front as of 10:30 on May 22. Although the Russian occupiers have slightly reduced their attacks in the Pokrovsk direction, they continue to advance elsewhere. The enemy conducted three airstrikes using five air defense systems and launched 583 attacks on our troops' positions. Additionally, they employed 58 kamikaze drones for strikes.

Shelling of Ukraine and Russian losses

Throughout the day, the Russians launched 4 missile strikes, conducted 55 air strikes, and deployed 927 kamikaze drones, including 59 Shahed and Lancet UAVs and 868 FPV drones. They targeted our troops and peaceful settlements 4,094 times with various weapons, including 89 attacks from MLRS.

The Air Force, missile forces, and artillery hit 16 enemy personnel concentration areas, a control post, an artillery vehicle, two ammunition depots, and two enemy radars.

The Russian invaders suffered significant losses, with 1,300 personnel killed. They also lost six tanks, 22 armored combat vehicles, 41 artillery systems, an air defense vehicle, 56 UAVs, one missile, 59 vehicles, and five units of special equipment.
