Analysis of Kursk operation could enable Ukraine to conduct similar operations in Russia
Ivan Tymochko, Chairman of the Council of Reservists of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, noted that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are gaining invaluable experience during the Kursk operation
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"For us, the Kursk operation is a military campaign, the analysis of which will enable us to conduct similar operations on Russian territory or apply the tactics and strategy of mobile warfare in the future," Tymochko said.
According to him, the Kursk operation provides the Ukrainian Defense Forces with valuable experience in operating in enemy territory without support from the local population. This is an extremely valuable experience.
"The Kursk operation had a direct impact on internal distrust among Russians, as we observed a fragmented population, which undermined the image of Kadyrov (Chechen warlord and Putin’s ally - ed.) and his paramilitary units, leading to local clashes within Russia," Tymochko recalled.
He added that holding the bridgehead in Kursk region is important for Ukraine.
"Since we do not know what geopolitical challenges we will face in the coming months, how the world's reaction to the war in Ukraine will look like after the U.S. elections," Tymochko stressed.
- Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi said that tens of thousands of Russian troops from the best units are trying to push out Ukrainian troops and advance on the Kursk frontline.
- Russian leader Vladimir Putin has deployed 50,000 Russian and North Korean troops to retake the Kursk region before Donald Trump takes office as U.S. president.
