Dmytro Lubinets, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, reported the information.

The Russian artillery shelling of the village of Viroliubivka, Donetsk region, killed three ICRC staff members and injured two others.

According to Lubinets, the Red Cross workers were in a truck transporting humanitarian aid during the attack.

"We already know about the shelling, but the ICRC, as well as the IFRC, are silent! No reaction, condemnation or expression of sympathy! Thus, this silence only covers up the criminal policy of the Russian Federation," Lubinets said.

He also called on the ICRC to officially and publicly recognise Russia's violations of the Geneva Conventions.

Earlier, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, said that Russian forces had attacked Viroliubivka in the Kostiantynivka community, killing three people and injuring two.

"The village came under artillery fire this morning. One of the shells hit the territory of an enterprise where people were staying. A truck with humanitarian aid and a car were destroyed," wrote Filashkin.

In addition, Russia attacked the private sector of Kostiantynivka, damaging seven houses and a power line.

Also at 1:14 p.m., the head of the Regional Administration informed that in Krasnoyarske, Dobropillia community, one of the shells hit a private house, killing an 81-year-old woman. In addition, four members of her family aged 21 to 58 were injured.

Filashkin noted that six houses and a power line were damaged in the village. He also added that two people were injured in Kostiantynivka, where 7 houses, a power line, a gas pipeline and a car were damaged.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy's reaction

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that as of 3:15 p.m., there were three dead and two wounded, who are being provided with all necessary assistance.

“Everything is absolutely clear in this war: Russia brings evil, Ukraine protects life. And if someone wants to hear “both sides”, then in Russia it is perceived only as a permission to kill further,” the president emphasized.

He also noted that the world should respond “firmly and fundamentally” and added that countries and international organizations should not remain indifferent.
