Russia suffering strategic defeat near Kupyansk: Defense Express expert explains why
Ivan Kyrychevskyi, Defense Express military expert, noted that the occupying Russian forces failed to create preconditions for their major offensive in two months of fighting in the Kupyansk sector
He told Espreso TV about it.
"If we talk about Kupyansk, let's look at the strategic level of the situation, which will explain everything. The Russian forces near Kupyansk are suffering a strategic defeat because they are now trying to create the preconditions for a major offensive. And the result of two months of fighting in that area is two settlements in the grey zone. So it looks like no matter how many battles are fought, the Russian troops are not going to take Kupyansk," the Defense Express military expert stressed.
Ivan Kyrychevskyi noted that the aggressor's actions pose a threat to civilians. Unfortunately, the enemy needs ten times fewer shells to attack civilian infrastructure than to perform tasks against Ukrainian troops.
