Russia launches 5 missile and 25 air strikes on Ukraine, FSB carries out humiliating filtration in Crimea - General Staff

On March 29, the Russian army launched 5 missile strikes and 25 air strikes against Ukraine, firing 34 times from multiple launch rocket systems.

"The likelihood of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high. As a result of an air strike on the infrastructure of Beryslav, Kherson oblast and Druzhkivka, Donetsk oblast, civilians were wounded, private houses and infrastructure were damaged," the General Staff emphasized.

On March 29, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled more than 60 enemy attacks, and the aviation hit the occupiers' concentration areas 5 times

It is noted that the Russian Federation has focused its efforts on conducting offensive operations on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions. Units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled there over 60 enemy attacks. Bilohorivka, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka remain at the epicenter of the fighting.

Also over the past day, Ukrainian aviation carried out 5 strikes on the occupiers' concentration areas, and the Air Defense units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a Russian Su-24M bomber.

At the same time, rocket and artillery troops hit 3 areas of enemy manpower concentration, weapons and military equipment, an electronic warfare station, an ammunition depot and 2 enemy fuel and lubricant depots.

In the temporarily occupied Crimea, the Russian FSB conducts counterintelligence activities with humiliating filtration

"In certain settlements of the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Russian invaders continue to exert pressure on Ukrainian citizens and violate human rights. In particular, in Krasnoperekopsk, FSB officers are conducting active counterintelligence measures. They perform humiliating filtration procedures, stripping, interrogations that involve beating of civilians etc.", the military said.

Situation in different directions

In the Northern and Northeastern Ukrainian borders, the operational situation did not significantly change, no signs of the enemy offensive groups formations were detected.

On March 29, the Russian forces fired at the areas of 6 settlements in the Sumy region, as well as more than 15 settlements in the Kharkiv region. 

In the Lyman direction, the Russian invaders conducted unsuccessful offensives in 2 localities. Artillery shelling was carried out in the vicinity of 6 settlements in Kharkiv region, 4 in Luhansk region and 3 in Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Russian enemy continues to storm Bakhmut. During the assault, Ukrainian defenders repelled 28 Russian attacks. At the same time, the Russian occupiers conducted unsuccessful offensives in the area of Orikhovo-Vasylivka. They also fired at 6 settlements in the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka and Marinka directions, the Russian troops conducted offensive actions in the direction of 6 localities in the Donetsk region, but they were unsuccessful. In particular, they fired at 11 settlements in the Donetsk region.

In the Vohledar direction, the Russian army attacked on 3 settlements.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the Russian troops are on the defensive. They shelled more than 20 localities, including 7 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region; 5 in Kherson region and the city of Kherson.

• On March 29, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, said that about 6,000 Wagner PMC soldiers were fighting in Bakhmut.
