Russia, Iran alliance will end only after regime changes in Tehran
International relations expert Vira Konstantynova believes that Tehran's cooperation with Russia will continue despite the protests in Iran.
She shared her opinions with Espreso TV.
"The protest movement in Iran has declined over the last week. This weekend, however, we could see a surge in protest activity. At the same time, last week there were precedents of killing law enforcement officers. The Institute for the Study of War also reported that the leader of Iran issued a decree on the violent suppression of protests," said Konstantinova.
The expert is convinced that Iran's cooperation with Russia will continue.
"At this point, the protests in Iran do not affect its cooperation with Russia in any way. There is a certain political stratum in Iran that will cooperate with Russians until the very end. In other words, Iran's cooperation with Russia will come to an end only when the political regime in Tehran changes," she added.
