Russia deports more than 200,000 Ukrainian children - Zelensky
President Volodymyr Zelensky says that since February 24, Russia has deported more than 200,000 children from Ukraine
Zelensky announced this in his video briefing.
"Russia has consistently pursued a criminal policy of deporting our people. Forcefully deporting both adults and children is one of Russia's most vile war crimes. In total, more than 200,000 Ukrainian children have been deported. These include orphans, children with parents, and the children that are separated from their families. Russia is scattering them all over its territories. Settling our citizens in remote regions. The purpose of this criminal policy is not just to steal people, but to make deportees forget about Ukraine and not return," said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The President assured that all Russian criminals will be punished.
"We must find an answer to this challenge, as well as ensure that all those who were killing, torturing or deporting Ukrainians are held accountable for their actions. The inevitability of punishment is the rule that Ukraine will teach Russia," Zelensky said.
