UK Defence Secretary declares world is in "new era of threat"

UK Defence Secretary John Healey, speaking in London on February 18, warned that decisions made in the coming weeks will shape not only the outcome of the war in Ukraine but also global security for future generations. He emphasized that the world has entered a "new era of threat," requiring a "new era for defense."  

Meanwhile, reports suggest that Europe is considering sending up to 30,000 troops to Ukraine, with France potentially contributing a third. The UK and Sweden have also signaled readiness for such a move, and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has stated that he is prepared to deploy UK forces as part of security guarantees.
