Russia in Riyadh lies about not targeting Ukraine’s energy sector as it strikes Odesa – Zelenskyy
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to the Russian strike on Odesa, stating that Russian representatives are lying about not targeting Ukraine's energy sector

He wrote this on Telegram.
"Just yesterday, after the infamous meeting in Riyadh, it became clear that Russian representatives once again lied about supposedly not striking Ukraine’s energy sector," Zelenskyy stated.
According to him, Russian forces targeted power transformers in Odesa just as nighttime temperatures dropped to -6°C.
- On the evening of Tuesday, February 18, Russian forces launched strike drones against Ukraine, with air defense forces operating in Kyiv. At least 160,000 residents of Odesa were left without heat and electricity.
- Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, after negotiations with the U.S. in Saudi Arabia, stated that the American side proposed a moratorium on attacks against energy facilities. Meanwhile, the Russian representative himself claimed that Russia does not strike Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
