Russia’s Syzran oil refinery on fire after drone strike

The governor of the Samara region, Vyacheslav Fedoryshchev, and Russian Telegram channels reported the information.
"Tonight, the Kyiv regime attacked the Syzran oil refinery. Emergency and operational services are working at the site. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties. The region remains under the threat of a drone attack," said Fedoryshchev.
According to eyewitness photos, a fire broke out at the Syzran oil refinery after the drone attack, Astra channel reports. Witnesses report at least two explosions.
For safety reasons, the airports in Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, and Ulyanovsk have temporarily suspended operations, Rosaviatsiya stated.
OJSC "Syzran Oil Refinery" is a fuel-profile plant and part of PJSC NK "Rosneft."
- On the night of Saturday, February 15, Russia reported an attack by unidentified drones, claiming to have shot down 40 aerial targets. A fire broke out at an industrial facility in the Kaluga region.
